Duffy & Shanley is looking for Account Executives and Supervisors to manage day-to-day client relationships and public relations programs. Account Supervisors must demonstrate experience in strategic planning and execution to results, along with the ability to manage staff and mentor team members. Account Executives must demonstrate results in creative, aggressive media relations campaigns and a track record of client counsel that builds strong, trusted relationships. Candidates should have relevant experience in consumer PR, with experience in technology and/or public affairs a plus. A bachelor’s degree is required. In addition, Account Supervisors must have at least five years experience in an agency or corporate marketing environment.

Intern Program

Duffy & Shanley has had a long standing intern program that has produced some of the most accomplished professionals in the field – including many that are now on our staff as employees! We interview and select for-credit interns at the beginning of each semester and select paid interns over the summer. As a full service agency, internships can be department-specific or general, depending on the interests of the candidate and needs of the agency. In general, we place people in three disciplines: Public Relations, Advertising (account management) and Creative/Interactive. All interns are given a welcome orientation to introduce them to the agency, and each other, and to train them on some of their daily tasks.

The deadline for applications for Duffy & Shanley’s fall public relations internship program is July 1, 2009. Applications must include a cover letter and resume. Please email applications to Amy Bagner at internships@duffyshanley.com.

Directions

From the South/North:
From I-95, take I-195 East to Exit 2. At the bottom of the exit take a right at the light. Go over the bridge, through the next set of lights, and take your first right after the Hess station onto Richmond Street. 222 is two blocks up on the right, attached to a delightfully uninspiring parking garage.

From the East:
Take Exit 2 off of I-195, then your first left onto James (a tiny little street). At the stop sign take a left. Bear to the left and then quickly to the right, following signs for Point Street Bridge. Turn right, go over the bridge and through the set of lights. Take your first right onto Richmond Street. Our building is two blocks up on the right, attached to the lovely tan parking garage.

From the West:
Take Route 6 East to Route 10 North, then take the Downtown Providence exit. From the light at the end of the exit, go straight across onto Memorial Boulevard. Follow Memorial Blvd. through five sets of lights (you'll pass Capriccio Restaurant on your right just before you hit the fifth set of lights). Follow the bend in the road (staying left) and go straight under the highway. Our building is the inspiring 4-story edifice just ahead on your right as you emerge from the underpass. The entrance to the parking garage attached to our building is also on your right.
